Leave Your Mark! was an exhibition of photography, illustration and stories for children. It ran for a month from June 8 - July 5, 2013. It was my first exhibition and I was thrilled to collaborate once again with illustrator, Stephanie Wong.
It all began with an invitation by Objectifs - Centre for Photography and Filmmaking to create an exhibition specially for kids during the school holidays.
Our idea was largely inspired by Singapore's environment. We wanted to see how we could transform what was around us with kooky stories and illustrations. It was also a vehicle to encourage kids to think about their surroundings and how they could improve it.
So we captured Singapore in black and white photography and used it as our canvas for stories. The exhibition had a participatory element where kids could freely contribute to the artwork. We also ran two workshops to encourage lateral thinking.
