As part of the team that keeps the social engine of IKEA Singapore and Malaysia running on Facebook, we're always developing content of all sorts. Here are some of my favourites.
A cheeky little social post and in-store poster we created to promote chairs on Valentine's Day.
As a copywriter, this was one of my dream jobs. I've always wanted to voice a mad horse.
With 2014 being the year of the horse, we couldn't get into the new lunar year without a silly joke. Neigh way. So on Facebook, we invited IKEA fans to submit a photo of their homes to be judged by a horse for a chance to win IKEA gift cards.
Our character was called Master Horsepicious, and branded a home interior expert. Gift cards were given away at the horse’s whims and fancies throughout the 3-day competition. The horse interacted and teased fans in real-time. No one knew who would win because no one could predict what the horse would say. That kept fans engaged.
The work reached over 800,000 people, and was shared over 4,500 times. See the full commentary on the post here.
